About Programme-Related Funding
E Squared’s Programme-Related Funding (PRI) supports registered Non-Profit Organisations (with Section 18A status) that are majority black led (board and leadership) and have been operating with meaningful traction for at least three years.
The organisation’s mission must advance youth entrepreneurship and/or income-earning opportunities in South Africa through micro-entrepreneurial models, with a proven concept ready for full pilot support.
PRI funding is sector-agnostic and provided through grant funding, with investments of up to R10 million over three years, supporting tested programmes or new pilots aligned to the mandate.
Application Process
Funding requests are subject to a rigorous due diligence process, conducted by the E Squared Social Enterprise team in collaboration with external service providers. The process culminates in the preparation of a comprehensive Investment Memorandum (IM) for submission to E Squared’s Investment Committee (IC) for approval.
